In my About Me page I explained that I work for a company called Platinum Entertainment Group. It is a company that plans concerts and events. I have been promoting and working on the public relations team for about a year now. One of my responsibilities is to post on the blog, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Social media is an extremely important asset for todays companies to reach a certain audience. A lot of blog posts I have written are not even promoting an upcoming event but simply sharing new music. Being a music company, we know our target audience is teenagers and young adults into electronic and rap music. This is one post I wrote over the summer after a electronic dance music (EDM) group named Galantis posted new music on music streaming website Soundcloud. This is a fun style of writing for me because I get to write about a topic that interests me. Therefore, its fast to write and reaches people with similar passions as myself. Swedish duo Christian Karlsson and Linus Eklow, otherwise known as Galantis have had a break through year. Both had separate successful careers; writing and producing music for pop singers including Britney Spears, Katy Perry, and Jennifer Lopez. When artists met in 2012 they began creating remixes and experimenting with different producing approaches.
Their popularity has grown increasingly since. Their first single named “Smile” got recognized by the EDM community and was remixed by heavy hitting DJ’s such as Kaskade. Most people know them the popular song titled “Runaway (U & I). ” They continue to kill it, releasing their new album “Pharmacy” with 13 brand new tracks.
